Who these terms cover

These terms cover your use of ExcelPal’s website, downloadable templates, course, and assistant. “ExcelPal” refers to the operator of this website. Contact us at the support address shown here when customer support opens.

By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you are not old enough to enter a contract where you live, a parent or guardian must authorize your use and make purchases for you. Mandatory consumer protections continue to apply; nothing here removes rights the law does not allow us to exclude.

Products and access

Templates are downloadable .xlsx files for Microsoft 365 desktop. Each product page explains its requirements and contents. They include fictional sample data. Workbooks do not connect to bank accounts, and the supplied .xlsx files contain no VBA macros. Website animations are preview effects; workbook artwork is static.

The course includes readings, browser practice, quizzes, and a downloadable practice workbook. Lessons use written explanations and silent, controllable animated illustrations. The browser practice grid is a learning tool, not the full Microsoft Excel application. Advanced Excel features require desktop practice. No Microsoft certification or affiliation is offered.

Purchases and course completion belong to the account used at checkout. Keep access to that sign-in. A one-time course purchase gives access while ExcelPal provides the course; it is not a promise of perpetual hosting. Downloaded templates remain yours to use under the license below.

Your license

After payment, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use and customize the purchased template for your personal work or internal business work. You may keep backup copies and share reports you create without distributing the underlying template. Copyright and license notices must remain intact.

You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, publicly upload, or package the template or course material as another product. Do not share paid account access, download links, or course recordings. Your own entered data remains yours. ExcelPal and its licensors retain rights in the supplied templates, lessons, artwork, and website.

Payments and subscriptions

Product prices and any applicable taxes are shown before payment. Checkout is unavailable until the payment service and customer policies are ready. When enabled, Stripe handles payments on its hosted checkout. A redirect or unpaid order does not grant product access.

Templates and the course are one-time purchases unless checkout expressly says otherwise. An AI membership, when available, costs $12 USD per month and renews monthly until canceled. It includes 150 answered questions per calendar month, resetting on the first day in UTC. Unused questions do not roll over; failed answers do not use the allowance.

Manage or cancel an active subscription from My library through the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals and retains access through the paid period shown there. No membership charge begins merely by opening the assistant or creating an account.

Refunds and cancellation

We offer refunds for products that are defective or materially different from their description. Contact us with your order reference and a description of the issue so we can investigate and arrange an appropriate refund. We do not offer change-of-mind refunds except where required by law.

Your statutory rights for defective, unavailable, or misdescribed digital content are unaffected. Contact the support address shown here when customer support opens with your order reference and a description of the issue. Do not send card details or passwords. Where applicable, EU/EEA and UK consumers may have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Accessing your purchase does not by itself waive a statutory withdrawal right. This site does not currently ask you to waive that right. Contact support to exercise it. Mandatory Canadian and U.S. state or provincial consumer rights also remain in force.

Responsible use

Keep your account secure and submit only information you have permission to use. Do not bypass access restrictions, disrupt the service, distribute harmful content, or use the service unlawfully. We may suspend access for material misuse and provide notice where appropriate. Contact us to question a restriction.

The assistant sends the question, selected workbook guide, pasted cell context, and recent conversation to an AI provider when connected. Its answers, formulas, and suggested VBA can be wrong. Review and test suggestions in a copy before use. Workbook comparison runs locally in your browser; sharing its text with the assistant is a separate action. Generated code is not automatically executed by ExcelPal.

Service limits

Templates and lessons are organizational and educational tools, not professional financial, tax, legal, or accounting advice. Results depend on your inputs and software. We do not promise a particular financial, employment, or learning outcome, error-free operation, or uninterrupted availability.

We take reasonable care in providing the service and will address reported defects. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by incorrect inputs, unreviewed AI output, unauthorized modifications, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including applicable consumer guarantees.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes to paid access or subscriptions will be explained before they take effect where required. An update does not retroactively remove rights attached to an existing purchase.
