Our accessibility approach

We want ExcelPal to be useful with a keyboard, screen reader, magnification, or reduced-motion settings. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA as our improvement target. This is a commitment to testing and improvement, not a claim of independent certification or complete conformance.

Ways to use ExcelPal

• Use the skip link to reach main content, Tab and Shift+Tab to move through controls, and Enter or Space to activate buttons.
• Use arrow keys within tab controls. Dialogs support Escape and return focus to their trigger.
• Controls have visible focus indicators and text labels. Forms identify errors in text, not color alone.
• Browser text zoom and responsive layouts support enlarged text. Wide worksheet tables have separately scrollable regions.
• Reduced-motion preferences limit decorative movement. Moving previews also offer pause controls.
• Lessons use readable text and silent animated illustrations, with written step captions and pause, previous and next controls.
• Cookie choices have equally accessible accept and decline controls.

Current limits

Complex worksheet previews are images with descriptive alternatives; the editable workbook is a separate download. The browser practice grid supports a subset of Excel and does not reproduce all assistive features of desktop Excel. Downloadable workbooks, external sign-in, payment pages, and browser-provided voices require separate accessibility evaluation. We cannot claim every combination of browser, screen reader, and Excel version has been tested.

Helpful details include the page address, what you were trying to do, the problem, and your browser or assistive technology if you wish to share it. Please avoid including sensitive workbook data. We review reports and prioritize barriers that prevent completing a task.
